«My new dog Joya brings joy»

Joya, the little white dog, is a real whirlwind full of energy and curiosity. She discovered her world with great enthusiasm: from the diverse Bulgarian countryside to the Swiss landscapes. Her little paws trotted happily through meadows full of flowers.
Joya loves to play.
With her sparkling brown eyes, she often crept up to people, pushed her little head onto their lap, and cuddled until everyone smiled. She especially loves people with a cheese snack in their pocket – because cheese is her absolute favorite food!
On her journey from Bulgaria to Switzerland, Joya experienced all kinds of funny situations. In Sofia, she tried to make friends with the street dogs, and in the canton of Zurich, she practiced living with people with great success.
Joya is happy, cheeky, and full of charm. She loves exploring new places, stealing cheese, licking people, and causing a little chaos everywhere she goes. For her, life is one big adventure, which she always masters with a sweet doggy smile...
- After my beloved dog "Bonita" died of cancer at the ripe old age of 15, I got a new dog from the Tierwaisenhaus Oberglatt animal shelter. I named her Joya because this dog is full of joy and because I am a fan of Joya Marleen – the best pop singer in Switzerland.
Joya is a confident, friendly, and lively dog. She is full of energy, loves people, loves to run, and is a very active companion.
My new dog greets everyone she meets, runs up to them wagging her tail, and wants to be petted. Super friendly!
According to AI photo analysis, she has the large Hungarian breed "Kuvasz" in her genes, but she is already fully grown and will not get any bigger. She was born on February 1, 2024, so she is around 20 months old, weighs about 12 kilos, and is 45 cm tall.
She is mostly social with other dogs – only with large dogs does she sometimes act up.
Joya is extremely picky when it comes to food. She simply leaves most of it untouched. She likes to eat "Belcando Super Premium" canned food, beef tendon bones, tripe, and... Swiss cheese!
I had her pretty Norwegian harness custom-made at Brigittes-Atelier, choosing the colors myself and having it embroidered with her name and my phone number – important in case she ever runs away and is found.
Dogs are good for people because interactions such as petting and playing promote the release of feel-good hormones such as oxytocin, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and increase general well-being. Dogs also give structure to everyday life, motivate people to exercise, and can support them in their daily routines.
My dog is extremely affectionate. She always sleeps in my bed and snuggles up to me all night. That is wonderful.
